Summer is just around the corner. Traditionally, people take a break from life while doing summer vacations and going away. However, in today’s world, families take vacations whenever they can find the time! Finding and enjoying family time can almost be like church to some young, busy families.
They enjoy “sacred” time enjoying and strengthening the bonds that bind us even closer as a family.
Sometimes we take a break from church. But some families use it as a time to reinforce their “God-time” before they launch out for the day with their family for a day or weekend of fun! I’m going to do my part, as the pastor, by preaching a series of sermons that will make church fun
and enjoyable this summer.
Father’s Day Sunday – I’ll be talking about “How to be a Great Dad!” (Giving equal time like Mother’s Day Sunday). Now here is the “cool” part. I have several sermon series that I can share during the summer. YOU GET TO VOTE AND SHARE THE SERIES THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO
HEAR! Here are the options:
(OPTION A): TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME
What is it about this game that spans generations and connects entire communities? Join us as we explore the great American pastime and learn lessons for the Christian life that will have you saying “Put me in, coach!”
(OPTION B): THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO DOGS
The tail is wagging as she eagerly greets you, loves you and comforts you. And, no matter how badly you behave, you are forgiven. Love, joy, loyalty, obedience — dogs have a lot to teach us. Whether you’re a dog-lover or not, we can explore important lessons from scripture, demonstrated by man’s
best friend, that bring us closer to God and one another.
(OPTION C): THE GOOD LIFE
Everyone’s looking for “the good life.” Television shows have been produced about it. Hit songs have been sung about it. But long before this modern focus, Jesus told His disciples that He came to show them the way to the good life. In this series, we’ll explore what Jesus said about the good life and the keys He gave to experiencing it.
OK the FUN begins, email me your choice or priority (or share a topic or idea for a Summer Series). Email to: Summersermonseries@gmail.com – Blessings!
It will be a great Summer 2019! God Bless.
